A Golden Night!

We have passed our first milestone! Last night’s launch was a great success. We sold out our first screening a week ago and last night’s audience seemed to relish this addition to Aylsham’s cultural life.

Thanks to all the team who got together to make this a night to remember. Feedback has been very positive but please feel free to let us know where we can improve this experience for future screenings.

Our next show is Far From Heaven, starring Julianne Moore, Dennis Quaid and Dennis Haysbert.

Four days and counting …

There are just four days left now before Woman in Gold is screened as part of the launch of Aylsham Picture House …

The catering team are picking up the nibbles and drinks for Friday night’s screening. Why not arrange to meet up with friends for a quick drink before from 6.30pm onwards. Enjoy a pre-screening musical interlude with our Klezma band,

There will also be a special performance on opening night from  klezmer duo ‘Klezling”. Originally played at weddings, this music is lively, joyful and full of emotion, while at the same time mournful and exotic sounding to the Western ear. This is a fitting musical interlude for Woman in Gold – and a celebration of the contribution to our cultural heritage from the Jewish community.

The programme starts around 7pm and the main feature screens at 7.15pm – see you there!
